The maintenance shutdown at Klabin's Monte Alegre unit in TelêmacoBorba, Paraná, will officially begin next Monday, April 24. Scheduled to last ten days, the shutdown involves the suspension of plant operations for inspection and maintenance of all equipment in order to ensure operational safety.
Due to the processes involved in plant shutdown and resumption of production, variations in odor and noise emanating from the plant may be perceived by the community during the maintenance period. However, it is important to note that these changes do not cause any harm to public health or the environment.
Over the next few days, there will be busier traffic of buses and trucks on the roads in the region, especially on PR-160, which is undergoing improvements and gives access to the plant.Hence, it is important that drivers redouble their attention while driving around and respect the signs placed at the work site, where traffic will flow on a single lane during business hours.
