US will impose anti-dumping tariffs on thermal paper imports

The USA will impose anti-dumping tariffs on thermal paper imports from Germany, Japan, the Republic of Korea and Spain, Euwid reports.

The anti-dumping tariffs amount to 2.90 per cent for Papierfabrik August Koehler SE and also for other suppliers from Germany, to 140.25 per cent for Nippon Paper Industries Co, Ltd./Nippon Paper Papylia Co, Ltd, to 135.06 per cent for other suppliers from Japan, to 6.19 per cent for Hansol Paper Company and for other suppliers from Korea, to 41.45 per cent for Torraspapel and to 37.07 per cent for other suppliers from Spain.

Thermal paper (sometimes referred to as an audit roll) is a special fine paper that is coated with a material formulated to change color when exposed to heat. It is used in thermal printers, particularly in inexpensive or lightweight devices such as adding machines, cash registers, and credit card terminals.
