European takeover China’s packaging maker Greatview has announced that it has entered into an agreement to purchase the assets of Italy’s Alternapak Production, a company specialised in making aseptic carton packs.
“The facility in Italy ceased production earlier this year after having established a solid track record as a key supplier of aseptic cartons to leading players in the liquid food industry in Europe, the Middle East and the Americas over many years,” the Chinese business said in a statement. “The newly acquired production facility will be Greatview’s fifth plant globally and is a milestone in the Group’s international expansion strategy. Production is expected to commence towards the end of this year.”
The value of the forthcoming acquisition was not disclosed.
In Europe, Greatview operates a production facility in Halle, Germany, where it also makes aseptic carton packs.
