New deal Austria’s Andritz, provider of technology and solutions for various industries including the pulp and paper sector, has obtained an order to deliver process equipment and energy-efficient and environmentally friendly pulp production equipment to a designed 1.8 million tonne per year year pulp mill which will be constructed in Concepción, Paraguay, by local company Paracel.
Under the plan, the Austria-based firm is to supply all of the ordered equipment on an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) basis, according to the statement.
The value of the latest deal is more than US$1.5 billion.
“The contract is expected to be booked during 2023,” according to the Austrian manufacturer.
Andritz says it is operated by a workforce of about 27,400 employees, and has more than 280 locations in over 40 countries across the world.
