Metsä Group launches new recruitments

Workforce to expand Finland’s Metsä Group is seeking applications for the company’s apprenticeship training programme which will begin in January 2023. About 65 new jobs are to be offered at the group’s production units across the country, the business said in a statement.

 

After completing their training, the participants will be qualified to work in duties such as process operator and machine operator at Metsä Group’s pulp, paperboard, tissue paper, Kerto LVL and plywood mills,” the statement said. A suitable educational background for the apprenticeship is a vocational qualification in electrical engineering and automation technology, process technology or mechanical engineering, or an engineering degree from a university of applied sciences.

The apprenticeship training programme takes 18 months in total, according to the Finnish company.

Metsä Group says it has around 9,500 employees in 30 countries.
