Kruger Packaging, with base operations in Montreal, Canada, has opened an over 475,000-square-foot building in Elizabethtown in Kentucky, USA.

The $114 million state-of-the-art facility will manufacture environmentally sustainable packaging products, creating nearly 150 new jobs. The plant will produce more than two billion square-feet of 100% recycled corrugated boxes annually — the equivalent of over 40,000 football fields.

The new plant features a highly automated corrugator, and 4 ultramodern converting lines.

The Kruger Packaging Elizabethtown Plant will be the company’s first-ever American packaging plant and will utilize robotic and automated technology to build better boxes for well-known brands as well as countless medium and small businesses throughout Kentucky.
