Manufacturing activities to begin Azeri company Baku Cardboard and Box Factory LLC, which operates under the brand of BakuPack, has obtained a permission to kick off production in the country’s Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park (SCIP).
Mikayil Jabbarov, the Azeri Minister of the Economy, said in a social media post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, that Baku Cardboard and Box Factory LLC will be the 39th company to establish its presence in the SCIP.
“Under the plan, the business is to establish a cardboard paper manufacturing facility for packaging construction materials and agro-industrial products,” according to the Economy Minister.
Owing to the investment, some 100 new jobs are the be created at the designed factory. Baku Cardboard and Box Factory LLC is to allocate about AZN 20 million ($12 million) to the manufacturing project, Jabbarov said.
