Heinzel subsidiary Zellstoff Pöls has started commissioning of a new paper machine at its Steyrermühl site in Austria, EUWID reports.
The machine is set to produce up to 150,000 tpy of brown and white lightweight kraft paper.
The Steyrermühl plant was up for sale from UPM at the beginning of the year. Heinzel acquired the mill att and started the conversion of PM 3 from publication paper to lightweight kraft paper.
The machine was subsequently renamed PM 6 after the successful rebuild.
