Brazil’s Suzano boosts CSR efforts in China

New initiative Brazilian group Suzano, the largest pulp producer in the world, Suzano, the world’s largest market pulp producer, has unveiled the launch of itsGreen Life - Blue Future initiative at an event hosted at the China Soong Ching Ling Science and Culture Center for Young People in Beijing. 

 

“The program, which aims to increase awareness of the importance of environmental protection and sustainability among younger generations in China, is launched in Suzano’s centennial year and also marks the 50th anniversary of China and Brazil establishing diplomatic relations,” the business said in a statement.

 

“It’s a huge honor to launch this new series of nature education activities alongside government officials, our co-sponsors and students. Green Life - Blue Future represents a consolidation and expansion of our existing corporate social responsibility work in China, a key market for us and one where we have been fortunate enough to build a number of long-standing partnerships,” said Pablo Machado, the president of Asia Business Management at Suzano.
