U.S. McKinely Paper plans layoffs next month

New development McKinely Paper is planning to lay off some 193 workers at the McKinley Paper Mill in Port Angeles, in the U.S. state of Washington. 

 

Under the plan, the layoffs are to be kicked off next month, according to the information obtained by local daily Peninsula Daily News. 

 

In an email obtained by the newspaper, Issac Rosas, the director of McKinley Paper Company Operations, said that an “indefinite mass layoff affecting approximately 193 employees” will begin Aug. 25.

 

McKinley says it runs two paper mills in the U.S., one in the state of New Mexico and the other in Port Angeles, Washington, according to data from the company.
