White Birch Paper to enter the recycled kraft paper market

The new machine will produce approximately 120,000 metric tons per year of 100% Recycled Kraft paper in a wide range of basis weights.

Further expanding its diverse line of paper products, White Birch Paper has announced that beginning in September 2024, it will enter the Recycled Kraft paper market via its Stadacona Mill located in Quebec City, Canada.  The new machine will produce approximately 120,000 metric tons per year of 100% Recycled Kraft paper in a wide range of basis weights to serve the global market for bags, e-commerce mailers, packaging medium, retail counter rolls, coating base, gray bogus, shipping void fill and more.

Created exclusively using post-consumer materials, the White Birch Paper Recycled Kraft sheet is manufactured using proprietary techniques that offer exceptional burst and tear strength, in addition to its affordability and eco-friendly attributes.

  • The FDA Compliant Recycled Kraft paper will be available in the following basis weights:
  • Bag and E-commerce grades ranging from 24.5 lb / 40 gsm up to 74 lb / 120 gsm
  • Medium and Containerboard grades from 12 lb / 60 gsm up to 26 lb / 127 gsm
