Remsoft South America is supporting Paracel with Intelligent Forest Planning that improves decision-making for sustainable forest operations in Paraguay.
Paracel S.A. was established in 2018 with plans to build a world-class cellulose plant in the region of Concepción, Paraguay. Designed for a capacity of 1.8 million tons of bleached eucalyptus Kraft cellulose per year, the wood demand for the pulp mill will be supplied by internal eucalyptus plantations and local producers.
Today Paracel has more than 193,000 hectares of land for eucalyptus plantations, located approximately 130 km from the mill site. These plantations will produce timber with a growth rate of 35 to 45 m3 per hectare per year with a 7-year rotation.
Employing industry-leading technology and best practices, Remsoft South America is supporting Paracel with Intelligent Forest Planning that improves decision-making for sustainable forest operations in Paraguay.
“We engaged Remsoft to help us in making intelligent decisions that remove risk in forestry planning and enable us to meet the highest sustainability standards for our operations in Paraguay,” said Amandio Fofano Junior, Forest Planning Manager of Paracel.
Global forestry organizations rely on Remsoft Optimization software and deep domain knowledge in forestry planning to assess and improve all facets of forest planning – balancing priorities, environmental requirements, and resource sustainability.
