The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) released the January 2025 Packaging Papers Monthly report.
- Total packaging papers & specialty packaging shipments in January increased 4% compared to January 2024.
- The operating rate for bleached packaging papers was 81.4%, up 3.3 points from January 2024.
- Shipments of the biggest subgrade in unbleached packaging papers – bag & sack – were 104,800 short tons for the month of January, down 1.6% from the same month last year.
