Suzano, world's largest bleached eucalyptus kraft pulp producer, has announced a price increase for hardwood pulp. The latest initiative encompasses a $60/t price hike on the markets in Europe and North America, and a $20/t price hike in Asia, according to Euwid.
Last month, the company announced similar price hikes for February.
In 2024, the company increased its pulp deliveries by 7 per cent year-on year to 12.3 million ton, mainly driven by the additional eucalyptus pulp (BEK) capacity from the new Ribas do Rio Pardo pulp mill in Brazil.
Suzano Papel e Celulose is a Brazilian producer of paper and pulp with a presence in over 80 countries. It is the largest paper and pulp company in Latin America and among the biggest producers in the sector.
