SPAPER 2025 strengthens its key role as a meeting point for the paper industry

SPAPER concludes its fourth edition with a highly positive outcome, reaffirming itself as a must-attend event for the paper industry in terms of technology, innovation, and sustainability. With the participation of 2,723 industry professionals and a total of 157 brands from 18 countries, the event has achieved an incredible response, significantly surpassing previous editions. The high attendance rate shared with SMAGUA highlights the connection between both sectors, offering a benchmark space for knowledge exchange and business opportunities.

SPAPER 2025 has demonstrated its ability to bring together professionals, share knowledge, analyze industry strategies, and foster business development. This edition has seen a strong presence of technology and technical equipment, with increased participation and exhibition offerings. During the event, the industry's main challenges were addressed, including solutions for optimizing water consumption in production processes, waste recovery, and the digitalization of the paper industry. Top-level experts took part in conferences and technical sessions organized by key entities such as the Basque Paper Cluster, ASPAPEL, SAICA, KPMG, Vicomtech, Repacar, and El Papel, further establishing SPAPER as a fundamental discussion forum for the future of the sector.

A Boost from Synergies with SMAGUA and EXPOFIMER

The synergies between SPAPER, SMAGUA, and EXPOFIMER have played a crucial role in this edition. The paper industry, one of the main consumers of water in its processes, has found a strategic ally in SMAGUA for efficient resource management, wastewater treatment, and sludge processing. At the same time, EXPOFIMER has contributed innovative solutions in renewable energy and energy efficiency to optimize production processes and reduce the industry's environmental footprint.

The high percentage of visitors shared between SPAPER and SMAGUA underscores the close connection between both sectors, reinforcing collaboration opportunities and knowledge transfer. Together, the three events have expanded their exhibition space and the number of participating brands by more than 50%, enhancing their appeal and relevance in the industrial sector.
