Valmet and the tissue paper manufacturer ICT successfully started up a new Advantage DCT 200 tissue line in Pannes, France, recently.
This marks the second Valmet tissue line delivered to the Pannes facility, reinforcing ICT’s commitment to expanding its production capacity while maintaining high standards of quality and sustainability. The investment is a strategic move to meet the growing demand for premium tissue products with a minimized environmental footprint.
The start-up on February 19 was a moment of celebration at the mill, as yet another milestone in ICT’s long-term expansion plan was achieved. With this latest addition, Valmet has now installed and commissioned four Advantage DCT 200 tissue lines for ICT—across France, Poland, and Spain—further strengthening their longstanding cooperation and shared vision for the future of tissue production.
Mauro Tempini, Director of the Paper Mills Division at ICT, highlighted the strong collaboration with Valmet during the commissioning and start-up phases:
“The cooperation with Valmet specialists during commissioning and start-up was excellent. We followed an intensive program of checks and adjustments, which enabled a smooth start-up and continuous production from the early stages. We share with the Valmet team a mindset focused on continuous improvement and a strong commitment to teamwork."
“We are honored to be trusted with installing and starting up the fourth tissue line order from ICT within 12 years. The new machine, equipped with the latest technology, is designed to meet ICT’s high-quality targets and ensure efficient and reliable production with low energy consumption. It’s a pleasure to collaborate in yet another project and re-connect with the great ICT team again,” says Johan Björn, Sales Director, Tissue Mills business unit, Paper business line, Valmet.
