The Klingele Paper & Packaging Group, one of the leading independent manufacturers of corrugated base paper and corrugated packaging, is currently changing the names of three Klingele companies in Germany.
The three general partner companies, which previously had the legal form of a GmbH (limited liability company), are being replaced by the European public limited company "SE", Societas Europaea. Specifically, these names will change:
- Klingele Papierwerke GmbH & Co. KG will become Klingele Paper & Packaging SE & Co. KGKlingele Papierwerke GmbH & Co.
- KG Wellpappenwerk Werne will become Klingele Paper & Packaging Werne SE & Co. KGKlingele Papierwerke GmbH & Co.
- KG paper mill Weener will become Klingele Paper Weener SE & Co. KG
The change of name is merely a change of name; the legal identity of the company is continued and all legal transactions of the companies continue to exist. All existing contracts, sales, delivery and general terms and conditions, as well as all identifiers (example: VAT identification number) assigned to the companies remain valid and unchanged.
The changes are already legally effective with the entry in the respective commercial registers.
"In the future, we want our company names to represent both our paper and corrugated packaging divisions, as well as our internationality," comments Dr Jan Klingele, Managing Partner of the Klingele Paper & Packaging Group. "We are convinced that the new company names are more in line with the rapidly progressing internationalisation of our Group and the global requirements of our business. Of course, this does not change anything about our character as a family business that thinks and acts for the long term and our solidarity with our German customers, partners and suppliers."
In recent years, Klingele has opened up new markets with good growth prospects through the European alliance of Blue Box Partners, but above all through its own acquisitions and investments in Cuba, Scandinavia, Mauritania, Senegal, Brazil and Guadeloupe. At the end of 2019, the company had standardised its brand identity and adapted it to its increased international presence. Since then, Klingele has been operating under the umbrella brand "Klingele Paper & Packaging Group", which replaced the previous name "Klingele Papierwerke".
