Rumors bubble around the Italian packaging and tissue group Pro-Gest, Istrana di Treviso, and most especially around the corrugated base paper plant in Mantua.
According to various local media reports and information from market circles, Pro-Gest’s Mantua plant in Italy, where corrugated base paper is manufactured, has recently been visited by several prospective buyers.
The plant is currently idled, and it is not yet clear when production will start again.
However, Pro-Gest itself holds that no sales negotiations are currently underway. The group also did not want to confirm that the CEO of the group, Francesco Zago, had resigned from his position due to internal disputes.
