Jessica Nordin is taking up the role as new Director of Sustainability at Södra with responsibility for leading and developing Södra’s overall sustainability agenda moving forward. A major focus will lie on strengthening efforts and knowledge concerning biodiversity and sustainable forestry, which are important topics for Södra.
Jessica Nordin most recently served as Environmental Manager at Södra Skog, with responsibility for driving and developing Södra’s nature conservation and consideration activities, a position she has held since 2021. She was previously Climate and Land use Strategist at Sveaskog and expert adviser on issues concerning the climate benefits of forests and sustainable forestry. She has also led several projects related to the development of markets for ecosystem services.
“I look forward to working with a diverse range of tasks as Director of Sustainability. Södra is an organisation that creates great social benefit, and with its foundation in family forestry provides solutions to many of the greatest environmental challenges of our time. We have set ambitious and challenging targets where I want to help to bring together the bigger picture within Södra and realise our high ambitions,” said Jessica Nordin, Director of Sustainability at Södra.
As Director of Sustainability, Jessica will lead and develop Södra’s overall sustainability agenda and a major focus moving forward will lie on strengthening efforts surrounding, and knowledge of, biodiversity and sustainable forestry, climate neutrality and sustainable resource use.
