Trial runs ongoing at Kipas Kagit’s new containerboard machine

Kipaş Kağıt A.Ş, started as a joint venture of Kipas Holding ( kipas.com.tr) in 2011, is committed to produce high quality container board paper from waste paper.

Turkish company Kipas Kagit has started trial runs on its new PM3 at its Söke mill in western Turkey, Euwid reports. The new PM will produce both recycled and fresh fibre-based containerboard

Commercial production will commence later, however.  

The new PM 3 has a capacity of 650,000 tpy. According to group manager Ali Tekerek, it will produce both recycled and fresh fibre-based paper, with grammages ranging from 50-110 g/m². Products include testliner, white-top testliner and fluting as well as kraftliner and recycled kraft paper for paper bags.  

Kipas Kagit’s second machine at the Söke mill, which has the capacity to produce 720,000 tpy of corrugated case material and cartonboard.
