Smurfit Kappa announces a €54 million investment in its Bag-in-Box factory in Ibi, Alicante, aiming to enhance production sustainability and expand its product range. Focusing on improved waste management systems and significant energy efficiency, the company bolsters its recycling capabilities.
Saverio Mayer, CEO of Smurfit Kappa Europe, highlights the company's commitment to the Bag-in-Box segment and its role in a broader expansion strategy across several countries.
- Over the past decade, we've invested €90 million in the Ibi factory, significantly improving what we can offer our customers. They can trust that they are getting a product that is not only aesthetically pleasing but also has a lower environmental impact, says Mayer.
Pascual Martínez, manager of Smurfit Kappa Ibi, shares his excitement about the development:
