The Paper & Biorefinery conference, a key event in the paper and pulp industry, addresses vital topics for the sector's future. This year, environmental protection and sustainability take center stage. Emtec will participate in the conference as an exhibitor, supporting these initiatives with devices that optimize processes, reduce waste and machine stoppages, and enhance resource efficiency.
Highlighted among emtec’s showcased innovations is the FPO Fiber Potential Analyzer Online, which seamlessly integrates into paper mill operations. It is fully automated, conducting sampling, measuring, and cleaning with minimal maintenance. With versatile installation options on the paper machine, the FPO has two connections for sampling and subsequent continuous monitoring of the zeta potential of fibers and fillers in the wet-end. The measurement data can be transmitted seamlessly to the mill’s process control system or a data server, enabling remote access globally. The emtec FPO increases the level of automation during paper production and brings significant savings in material, time, and energy.
In addition, emtec will feature another advanced solution: the ACA Ash Content Analyzer. This device quickly and non-destructively measures the total mineral filler content and the percentage distribution of the individual components within a sample. This allows the exact components present to be determined and the manufacturing process to be adjusted accordingly. Compared with the traditional combustion method, which takes three to seven hours to provide generalized results, the application of the ACA device saves enormously on time and energy costs by delivering highly precise information within seconds.
The emtec Electronic portfolio is complemented by the CAS touch! Charge Analyzing System and the FPA touch! Fiber Potential Analyzer. These two portable laboratory devices are often used together to precisely determine the particle charge and zeta potential in the wet-end. The EST Surface & Sizing Tester provides accurate measurements of surface porosity and sizing, and the TSA Tactile Sensation Analyzer provides objective data on the haptic properties of tissue paper.
Conference participants are invited to stop by the emtec booth to speak with Area Sales Manager Stefan Ruebesam for demonstrations and further information about the devices' measuring principles and possible applications.
