Coatex showcased two new highly specialized solutions for the InkJet Market during PaperCon 2013 in Atlanta, Georgia, from April 29th to May 1st.
These new innovations enable producers to go beyond current limitations and add additional value to their own products.
Topsperse JX A – a technologically advanced dispersant for InkJet Coating Colors, designed to protect pigments from flocculation, avoid peaks in viscosity during coating color make down. It also reduces end viscosity even at high solids.
Rheocarbe J 40 – a rheology modifier, specially designed for InkJet Coating Colors, to improve water retention while maintaining an optimized state of particle dispersion.
A key benefit for customers is these new solutions can be utilized to ease the mix of InkJet coating colors. Their use allows for shortening the transition between paper types and reducing the circuits washing time & wastewater generation – leading to significant cost savings for today’s paper manufacturers.
“The Paper Industry is consistently looking for ways to optimize costs while enhancing performance characteristics that their customers desire.” said Francois Court, Marketing Director for Coatex Group. “Addressing key performance characteristics required of Ink Jet paper - such as improved water retention & viscosity control and ink absorption - was key in the development of these solutions for the market. It is another great example of the innovations brought forth by Coatex Research & Development teams.”
A world-leading designer and producer of waterborne rheology additives with over 40 years of expertise in rheological additives for aqueous formulations, Coatex is a leading technology / solution partner to the global paper market. Recent innovations focus on key current issues that today’s Paper Manufacturers are challenged with, such as improved water retention, sustainable formulating and cost optimization.
