Kemira, a global leader in sustainable chemical solutions for water-intensive industries, will implement a minimum 5% surcharge on all products and services sold in the United States starting May 1, 2025. This applies to all Packaging & Hygiene and Water Solutions customers.
This measure responds to significant increases in external costs driven by recent global trade policies. The surcharge is designed to partially offset these rising costs while ensuring the reliability, availability, and high quality of Kemira’s offerings.
“At Kemira, our priority is to deliver consistent value and ensure a reliable supply for our customers,” said Keely Goodwin, SVP, Packaging & Hygiene Solutions, Americas. “Kemira is taking proactive steps to manage external cost pressures by strengthening strategic sourcing, increasing localized production, and improving supply chain efficiency.”
“We will continue to monitor the global situation closely and remain prepared to take decisive, market-driven action to adjust the surcharge, accordingly, always keeping our valued customers at the forefront of our decision-making,” said Michael Cavallero, SVP, Commercial Water Solutions America.
Kemira remains committed to transparency and close collaboration with customers through this period of global economic uncertainty.
