The Rome-Floyd County Development Authority (Georgia, USA) has approved a resolution whereby International Paper, after filing for taxable revenue bonds, indicated that it would like to modernize its containerboard mill in Rome, Georgia.

Specific details about upgrades for the mill have not been disclosed.

The Rome mill produces about 850,000 tons per year of containerboard and was previously owned by Temple-Inland until IP acquired the company in early-2012.
