Two parties are interested in taking over Papeterie de Raon, an ailing French packaging paper maker, of which one is reported to be Italy's specialty and packaging paper producer Cartiera Galliera. The second party interested in taking over Papeterie de Raon is a group of investors headed by an unnamed French paper manager.
The French commercial court of Epinal has now extended the observation period for the Papeterie de Raon, according to Euwid. Papeterie de Raon has been in receivership since November last year.
Papeterie de Raon is producing machine-glazed recycled packaging paper for food and other packaging purposes on two paper machines.
