Valmet invests in press felt production capacities

New investment Finlands Valmet has announced the company will  further develop its press felt manufacturing facilities in Tampere, Finland, by investing in new press felt machinery and equipment.

 

The investment comprises a new pre-needling line and a new needling line, and it is valued at around 18 million, the company said in a statement.

 

“We target to operate the most modern, efficient and sustainable press felt production unit in the industry. We serve our customers in the board and paper as well as pulp and tissue industries with press felts that respond to the highest quality and performance demands,” said Tero Kokko, the vice president of the Fabrics Business Unit, Services at Valmet.

 

Valmet says it is a leading global developer and supplier of a wide range of solutions. These include process technologies, automation and services for the pulp, paper and energy industries, according to data from the manufacturer.
