Recently, RDM Group officially inaugurated the new boiler house at the Ovaro Mill in Italy, in the presence of the Group’s top management.
The local authorities were in attendance at the ceremony, including the Governor of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Massimiliano Fedriga, and the Mayor of Ovaro, Lino Not, as evidence of the relevance of the project.
This is an important investment for RDM Group. It meets the needs to modernize the production lines, to improve their efficiency and reliability and, at the same time, to further reduce CO2 emissions, water consumption, noise, and energy costs.
The investment strengthens the Mill’s competitiveness in the luxury packaging market, supporting its present and future growth thanks to reduced costs and environmental impacts. In terms of results, the new plant will enable greater efficiency, the reduction of CO2 emissions by more than 30 percent and, a significant reduction in water consumption.
Today, the Ovaro Mill represents an important pillar for the territory and its community, with a production capacity of about 110,000 tons and more than 160 employees – but this number significantly increases considering outsourcing and the entire supply chain connected to the plant.
