Portugal's The Navigator Company is set to increase the sales prices of its packaging paper portfolio by 4-7 per cent. The price increase will be effective with orders shipping April 1st 2025 onwards.
According to the company, the price adjustment is necessary due to the higher input costs essential for paper manufacturing, namely, but not exclusively, pulp and energy, which have experienced significant increases over the last months.
The Navigator Company is Europe's largest producer of woodfree uncoated paper. The company also produces tissue paper and different eucalyptus fibre-based packaging papers.
Navigator has a total production capacity of 1.6 million tpy of paper and 1.5 million tpy of eucalyptus pulp, of which 80 per cent integrated into paper.
