The first day of the 22nd annual International Munich Paper Symposium started with a detailed report on energy saving iniatives at Mondi paper mills and an experience report from Stora Enso Eilenburg about a current debottlenecking project.
This was followed by report on successful reduction of water consumption at UPM paper mill in Augsburg, and an presentation of results with new sealing strips in suction rolls with high impact on water and energy savings at paper mill Palm in Woerth.
Beside the presentations the plus 400 participants, mostly from paper producing indunstry from 20 countries, had possibility to visit an interesting sales exhibition with several new innovations. We are going to report later more about the exhibition and other aspects of the IMPS-event.
