The international technology group, Andritz, has achieved a successful startup of the newly delivered carding machine and opening/blending line at Albis in Roasio, Vercelli, Italy. This strategic investment marks a significant milestone for Albis as it positions itself to address evolving market demands and manufacture innovative nonwoven products tailored for applications in hygiene and medical sectors.
The newly installed machine, boasting an impressive working width of 5.10 meters, enables the production of customized nonwoven fabrics designed to meet precise customer specifications while upholding exceptional properties and consistent quality standards. A prime example is the Albis Curacell®, a multilayer composite nonwoven fabric with a weight range spanning 35 to 70 gsm. This remarkable material is crafted using a patented water-free process and possesses the remarkable ability to absorb liquid flows exceeding seven times its weight. The production line also integrates an advanced opening and blending system from ANDRITZ.
